Marlene Regan

Marlene is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over twenty years of clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, and higher education settings. She works with adults and couples from all backgrounds. Marlene specializes in treating anxiety, depression and mood disorders, recovery from trauma and abuse, dual diagnoses, substance and behavioral addictions, partner and relationship concerns, pre- and post-divorce processing, pain management, grief and loss, sleep disorders, work and career challenges, major life transitions, and disordered eating behaviors (adults).

Marlene practices from a client-centered, process-based approach. Her work with clients is collaborative, educational and integrates talk therapy, developing and maintaining therapeutic lifestyle routines and practices, and somatic work. She believes each client has the capacity for healing, self-regulation, and self-care. She engages with each client at their level of readiness and comfort by addressing the root causes of imbalances that contribute to emotional and physical dysregulation to achieve greater mind and body balance. Marlene also works closely with each individual’s medical and behavioral health care providers to complement their behavioral and physical health goals.

Education and Training:

Marlene earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from UW-Stevens Point in the area of Architectural Design and Psychology. She completed her graduate studies in Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  Post-graduation, she has obtained several additional credentials and certifications including:
